5: Lynchburg, VA

Another slightly longer drive is to Lynchburg, Virginia. You can still reach this destination in under four hours. The museums in this city are some of the best places to spend a day. Established in 1808, the Old City Cemetery is one of the oldest public cemeteries in the country. You can visit this in town.
